Sydney Born, Montreal based and inspired by nomadic exploration in the space between, Dexter is a DJ with an adaptive, groovy, funk flavoured sound built on a tribal foundation. His introduction to the music industry came through his show on university radio and later to a position as a radio host at the Montreal based music platform, When We Dip. In 2019, he embarks on a new chapter co-founding a new collective and multi media label, Halaken Records as an artist and director. As a rising artist, 2019 has also held highlights like performing at Piknic Electronik and PY1, sharing the stage with the likes of Mercan Dede, Blond:ish, Niko Schwind, Lutrell, Modd and Tim Englehardt, and releasing his first music on When We Dip’s label project, XYZ.
