DFrank, whose real name is David Franklin, is a music artist hailing from the quiet suburb of Flossmoor, Illinois. The young adult singer found his singing voice at age eight through Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5, after his Uncle gave him a CD with all of their greatest hits. By heavily enjoying their sound and style, he began to sing their songs along with others he heard in his household, and the rest is history.


Raised a devout Christian, Franklin is big on being kind, and accepting of others, while living a life of good impact. Through his Contemporary Christian/R&B style, Franklin finds a way to convey both messages of hope and light, but also those of love, life situations, and understanding from an everyday perspective. Each of these concepts funnel into how he was raised, knowing the importance of having a heart for those around him, and the challenges one experiences in everyday life; while sharing his truth on how to best work through them.


Franklin wants others to know that no one's alone with what they're facing, but also that there's still joy and hope to be found in this life. His biggest music inspirations include the likes of Kirk Franklin, Mali Music, KB, H.E.R., John Legend, and Musiq Soulchild, to name a few. Each of them have contributed to his music style, and his will to be a genuine, transparent artist, that delivers heartfelt, and soulful messages to stand the test of time.
