Dharma Guns play rock ’n’ roll infused with protopunk and Scandi action influences. Sing-along choruses, fiery guitar licks, and a dirty groove remind you of what rock ‘n’ roll is all about. Their singles “Life Choices”, “Love Bug” and “M.I.D.L.I.F.E. Crisis” have created buzz within the scene, gaining attention from media outlets like Soundi, Kaaoszine and Vive Le Rock. Their debut album Ex-Generation Superstars (Rockhopper Music, 11/2024) introduces a band that reeks of glamour and shines with the sweat of raw energy.

Dandy Punks from Helsinki

When guitarist Pete (Huuto!, ex-Turun Romantiikka, ex-Karoshi Lovers) realized he’d written a dozen new songs without the right kind of singer to perform them with, he took a leap into the unknown and decided to sing them himself. All he needed was a bunch of rockers to back him up in a band that got its name from Jack Kerouac’s legendary novel Dharma Bums.

Edu (ex-Bad Valentines, ex-Plastic Tears), Jussi (ex-Vanity Ink), and Ölli (Jo Below, Mönni) listened to the demos and jumped immediately on board. Being raised by punk and being gentlemen in life they started calling themselves dandy punks.

The first rehearsal took place in November 2023 and by June 2024 their debut album was recorded. They signed a record and booking deal with the Finnish indie label Rockhopper Music, and the rest will be history.
