Dhruv Ghanekar is a prolific composer, producer and highly respected guitar player based in Mumbai, India.
Having held the stage at many leading festivals around the world as a leader of his band “Dhruv”, Dhruv has performed and recorded with some of the biggest names in music in India and on the International arena.
Dhruv has been the co-founder of the path breaking Blue Frog – a platform encompassing a State of the Art Live Performance Venue, Recording Studios, Label and Music Production company.
His 2015 release Voyage, successfully merged sounds from Africa and India. A microcosm of global diversity in itself, the album left one yearning for more with its seamless blend from North and West Africa, Jazz, Pop, Assamese Folk to Rajasthani folk and Classic Rock, fused into a singular sonic voice.
The album won Best Fusion Album and the track Dhima won Best Rock SONG at the recently concluded Global Indian Music Awards (GIMA).
He is also the IRRA recipient of Producer of the Year, Best Rock Song and Best Fusion album for Voyage and Trio Sessions.
