Andres Rafael Diaz is a Norwegian musician and fly fisher from a small city in Norway called Jessheim. As his name might reveal he also has some Spanish roots in him. In 2013 he released his first fly-fishing documentary called «Hekta» (Hooked). Over the past few years he has become a household name in Norway’s sport fishing community. Most Norwegians know him for his music career and by his artist name – Diaz. Already in the early 90´s Diaz was a part of a then small hip-hop community in Oslo where he started out as a DJ. In ´95 he teamed up with fellow countryman and producer Tommy Tee – then as a rapper. He later featured on classic hit records like «Takin ´Ova» and «Crossing Borders», the last one with his Swedish rap-colleague Petter. In 2000 his debut album «2050» was released and immediately got a nice buzz overseas and in other parts of Europe. Billboard magazine and The Source amongst others embraced the sound, and gave his album great reviews. His collaboration a few years later with Wu Tang Clans´ RZA (US) album «The World According to RZA» – may stand out as a career peak. Two solo albums later, Diaz decided in 2006 to leave the spotlight. Leaving behind hits such as «Stikking», «Hvem Er Denne Karen?», «Jessheim» and «Mitt Stille Vann».
