After previous lives as an academic teacher and political writer, Dick Pels now writes and performs original songs in 60s/70s folkrock and folkblues style. His melodious tunes, intelligent poetry and subtle guitar licks quickly lodge themselves in your musical memory. His first album 'Crosspath' was recorded in 2015. His second album 'Meanwhile Gardens' followed in 2018. Its title song celebrates a magical spot in West-London near to where he used to live and work. His more recent political songs include 'Sad Song for America' and 'Fishing For Plastic'. His third album 'All the Little Things' will be released in two parts in June and September 2021. 'Ride the Storm' is the trail-blazing single for it.
