Die Exports were founded in the end of 2019 by Mike Chrobok (vocals), David Kilian (drums), Nils Geigenmüller (guitar) and Alex Jordan (initially bass, later guitar) in Dortmund's Nordstadt district.
Inspired by the indie rock wave of the early 2000s - bands such as Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes - the band spent the first few years intensively honing their own style.
In 2023, the Exports appeared on a larger live stage for the first time at the YouthBrigade Festival at the FZW.
That year, they also focussed on the production of their debut album, which was recorded on their own and produced by Christian S. Nickel (CNS Audio).
At the beginning of 2024, they released their album "The Largest Bunch Of Flowers You Have Ever Seen", which was accompanied by a rousing release gig at Junkyard Dortmund.
This signalled the start of further live performances, including at the Juicy Beats Festival and the Dortmund Live Tour (FZW) and supporting acts for bands like Gob Psychic (Denmark) and Luke I'm your dad (Bonn).
Currently, they want to look ahead and dive back into the creative phase to create new music and further develop their sound.
