Hi, my name is DieGARD.
I was born in Cuba in 2005, a country with a rich and vibrant musical heritage. From an early age, I developed a deep passion for music thanks to my father, who introduced me to iconic artists such as Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Sting, Eric Clapton, Toto, and many others. His influence shaped my musical taste and sparked the curiosity that still drives me today.
The first electronic music tracks that truly captivated me were Push the Limits by Enigma and Samb-Adagio by Safri Duo, songs that made me fall in love with electronic music at a very young age. Around the age of nine, I began experimenting with loops and samples using GarageBand on an iPad. But the moment I realized I wanted to create music and dive into the world of production and DJing came after watching the film We Are Your Friends.
A few years later, I started learning piano, which remains my main instrument. I produced my first tracks in GarageBand, inspired by the tropical house sound of Kygo, one of my earliest and most influential musical idols. Eventually, I transitioned to a more advanced DAW on my computer, taking my production to a more serious and professional level.
I’ve drawn inspiration from artists such as Kygo, Monolink, ZHU, Yuksek, Lost Frequencies, and Rosbeh.
Most recently, I released my debut single “Back to Life” in collaboration with 989 Records, marking the beginning of a new chapter in my musical journey.
