Formed in 2023 Diet Product is the creation of Chicago-based producer Scott Myers and songwriters Scott Hanson and Addison Wason. These long-time collaborators bring experience from many musical disciplines including classical, vocal jazz, indie rock and ambient/electronic music. Compelling vocal performances are accompanied by roaring electric guitars, ethereal synthesizer patches, driving rhythms both acoustic and electric all fortified by eclectic modern production that mutates from song to song while maintaining a familiar emotional core.
Influences span 2000s experimental indie pop darlings Animal Collective, sound collage magicians The Books, powerhouse Canadian rock supergroup Broken Social Scene and pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo.
