Diga is an alternative/post-rock band based out of New York City and Chicago.
Band members include Sean Woods (guitar, vocals and keys), Jun Nuñez (guitar,
backing vocals, keys and drum programming) and Joe ‘Floze’ Rivera (bass, vocals,
keys and drum programming).
Diga have crafted a unique sound by combining their love of 90’s shoegaze bands (Ride, Swervedriver, My Bloody Valentine) and their passion for modern sonic textures and songwriting (TV on the Radio,
Interpol). Their songs are filled with melancholy hooks and harmonies, lush and
atmospheric guitars and head-swaying rhythms with lyrics that attempt to capture fleeting moments in life.
Childhood friends since elementary school, members of Diga have spent years writing, gigging and recording with different bands. In summer of 2019, Sean, Jun and Floze decided it was time to finally work together. The newly formed Diga anchored themselves to their instruments and focused on remote writing and recording.
Following 3 single releases, Diga debuted their first EP release,"Future World on Hold", in October 2019 with positive reviews:
Stoned Nerve cites Diga as, “…dreamy rockscapes to live by”.
The Animal Revolt lists Diga’s ‘Compassion’ as, “…one of our fave discoveries of 2020"
Diga's brand new 4-song EP, "Suddenly There", will be available on all the major
music platforms. The band touts this release as the culmination of all their influences finally coming together to truly represent the Diga sound.
