Dilettantene play a kind of poetic postpunk. Dilettantene write all the music and pretty much all the lyrics. Dilettantene released their first album in 2017 and since then a lot has happened, both with the crew and with the sound ... We are based in the east of Norway.

The dilettantes consist of Venill Eirin, Mats Mæland Jensen, Jon Mihle and Jørn Skau Ellingsen. The horn arrangements are written by Øyvind Brække, who mostly plays together with Magnus Aannestad Oseth on trumpet.
