Dimrain47 (Clayton Tremmel) began writing and submitting his fast-paced, video game-style techno tracks on Newgrounds.com in 2005 at the age of 15. But what began as an after-school hobby quickly became an obsession. The bulk of Dimrain47's repertoire was submitted between 2005 and 2008, with tracks "Twilight Techno", "Surface", and "Operation: Evolution" becoming the most well-known and iconic. Dimrain47 ceased music production in 2009, but returned in 2012 with three new tracks. "At the Speed of Light" became popularized by the online rhythm-based platforming game Geometry Dash, and currently has over 10 million views on YouTube.
Dimrain47 is most recognized by his emphasized use of fast arpeggios, high tempos, a melodic approach to composition and the use of Sytrus presets. All Dimrain47 music composition and production has been done using FL Studio.
Although Dimrain47 has seen a moderate amount of success with his later tracks, he is not professionally pursuing a career with his music.
