La Dinastía Torres es una familia de músicos originarios del pueblo de Guapi, Cauca, en la costa pacifica de Colombia. Pacho y Genaro Torres son dos legendarios músicos, interpretes y constructores de la marimba de chonta desde hace generaciones.
Este disco fue grabado en la legendaria casa de la Dinastía Torres, el templo de la marimba ancestral. allí mismo donde nació José Antonio Torres el gran 'Gualajo', que fue uno de los mas grandes exponentes de esta dinastía de músicos, y que murió recientemente.

The Torres Dinasty is a family of traditional musiciens from Guapi, Cauca, in the pacific coast of Colombia. Pacho and Genaro Torres are two legendary musiciens, they build marimbas and traditional instruments in their home near the river.

Currulao music is from the south of the pacific coast in Colombia, and it has remained very authentic and african, by his sounds and harmonys. Balafon or marimba at his best. Torres ancestors came from Africa, from countrys or territories like Camerun, Mali, Senegal, Nigeria and Ghana among others.
