Dionysios blends melodic folk rock with poetic meditations to create music with rare depth and candour. Citing diverse influences from Leonard Cohen to Jack Johnson, his sound transcends genre, but is consistent in its meaningful observations on love and loss. A naturally adventurous mind, he continues to explore new sides of his artistry with every new release.

Dionysios was born and raised in London, but didn’t officially launch his music career until he relocated to his current hometown of Auckland, NZ. A self professed ‘late bloomer,’ he released his debut album at the age of 35. As a result, his debut tracks are fully formed and self assured, delivered with a comforting voice formed by years of experience.

While there is a noticeable sense of nostalgia in Dionysios’ classic songwriting, the perspective he brings through his lyricism is distinctively modern. With a storyteller’s attention to detail, his acoustic guitar driven songs paint evocative pictures for listeners to get lost in. With a steadily growing catalog, Dionysios is carving out a unique place for himself in the modern music world.
