Direct Drive started out back in 1996 as DJ-GoA where he spent his time learning to mix on Soundlab belt drive turn tables. Making mix tapes to pass around school, his passion for music was inspired by the Brain Bashers, Paul Oakenfold and Tony Di Vit. After saving up and buying his first set of direct drive decks he ventured out into local pubs and clubs in Exeter. Having always had a musical ear, it wasn’t long before he started dabbling in production. After 20 years of writing tunes the world would never hear Direct Drive had his first track signed to Shock Records under the alias of DJGoA. 2021 has been a roller coaster year for this melodic mentalist who has worked with some of the most talented artists in the hard dance scene. with 7 tracks signed in 2021 thus far to labels such as Frantic Digital Records, Defiant Digital, Shock Records and Bring the Noise its certain that he’s one rising star to keep an eye on.
