Starting out as something Simon Rex was doing for fun in the comforts of his home and sharing with a few close friends in-between acting gigs, “DIRT NASTY” has evolved into a mainstream part of today’s pop culture. Sometime around 2005, Dirt Nasty popped on the scene as a member of his three-man group “Dyslexic Speedreaders” (which also included Mickey Avalon and Andre Legacy). Dirt produced and was featured on the groups cult hit “My Dick” which has since gone on to sell over 800,000 downloads, & has been licensed in numerous film and TV shows.

Dirt Nasty self-released his debut album in 2008, which featured the hit song “1980.” 2010 saw Dirt return with his second solo release, “Nasty As I Wanna Be”, that featured the likes of Kesha, LMFAO, Too $hort, Warren G and others. The song and video for “I Can’t Dance” saw spins and support from radio and television networks such as FUSE and MTV.

Dirt teamed up with super-producer Diplo, Riff Raff and Andy Milonakis, to form the group Three Loco. Late 2012 saw the release of their 8-song album on Diplo's own Mad Decent record label. The album garnished the group critical acclaim from the likes of MTV, Pitchfork, Vice Magazine and Perez Hilton just to name a few.

In 2014 Dirt Nasty returned with his successful 13-track record entitled “Palatial.” Through Dirt’s social media following, constant touring & lead role in the major motion picture Scary Movie 5, Simon truly solidified his place in the public’s consciousness.
