Dirty Backseat is a project founded by Moe Hani (an underground Cairo based bedroom Songwriter/Music Producer) in 2017 with the intention of developing the sounds of Garage Rock & Post-Punk while interpreting them in his own way. Ever since then, DB has gone through various phases sonically & visually experimenting within a bunch of areas & styles like; Post-punk, Dream pop, Synth-Pop & Electronica. In addition to presenting himself as a bedroom experimental producer writing all of his songs in both languages “Arabic & English”.
On the Visual side of things, the bilingual artist has been presenting the project live in various formats such as, solo performances, duo, trio & a full on rock band format including guitars, bass, synthesizers, drums & Vocals.
DB's music varies from having a melancholic dreamy vibe emphasizing on melancholic guitars &/or synths, washed-out vocals to high energy songs using thick bass lines & gritty rhythms.
