Dory Kahalé, known to most as Dirty McKenzie, was born in Beirut Lebanon and raised in Berlin, Germany. The 1980s found him hopping from city to city throughout the world before setting up permanent residency in Minneapolis USA. Founder of Bass United Recordings and the son of a former fugitive and convicted International drug smuggler (the reason behind his worldly youth), Kahalé has been releasing a variety of music under many aliases since the early '90s. From his early '90s Techno roots as DJ Apollo to his more recent recordings as Dirty McKenzie, Dory Kahale has always been celebrated by his music peers as an artist who - in the truest of underground music fashion - has many known and unknown faces.
