Out of the smoke and sweat of Austin’s Red River District comes a band that feels like the city used to: loud, wild, and unapologetically alive. Formed from the remains of the notorious New Disaster, this lineup pulls together some of Austin’s hardest hitters and most unkillable rock lifers.

Frontman Natchet Taylor brings the same raw power he carried through New Disaster, a gravel-throated howl full of the kind of poetry that doesn’t need approval. His lyrics bite, full of dark humor, wordplay, and that strange mix of sin and spiritual grace that comes from living a little too close to the edge.

Abel Idle’s guitar work is all danger and flash, channeling the chaos of old Brit Metal and the bite of Rose Tattoo. Yayo Sanchez, known around Austin as the “Kiss Guy” who jammed his way onstage with Foo Fighters, joins in on lead duties. Rob Williamson pounds the drums with heavy hands and perfect bad intent, while Billy Dansfiell (who has been in every other band under the sun) lays down the low-end, setting the scene for a dirty street fight.

Their debut record, Feral as Fuck, is exactly what it says it is: recorded live, two takes each, no studio tricks, no safety net. It’s the sound of a band that doesn’t care about polish, only pulse. Loud, dirty, and honest.

Austin may have changed, but this band hasn’t. This is pure rock and roll. The kind you can smell.
