Divo

Guatemalan-Canadian rapper Divo, has been a trailblazer and force to be reckoned with throughout his music career. His dynamic delivery in both English and Spanish has allowed him to cross genres and keep his fans engaged through witty and energetic wordplay.

His collaborative EP with producer <a href="spotify:artist:5WO0CGAja9K9EhxIQidQml" data-name="Atwell">Atwell</a> titled “Generation Next” in 2020, included the song “Loyalty” which landed on Spotify’s “Rap Skills” playlist. His album with French producer <a href="spotify:artist:2OHytjGA8YMNiQi1oKG2et" data-name="GMJ">GMJ</a> called &#34;<a href="spotify:album:3BelRAVrVixYZYHWzBm9Ky" data-name="Transatlantic Soul">Transatlantic Soul</a>&#34; won East Coast Rap Album of the Year at the 2016 CUT Awards. Their &#34;Angels Fly Remix&#34; was featured on Bring Ya Eh Game&#39;s &#34;Eh List Vol. 4&#34; compilation which reached #5 on the Canadian Earshot campus radio hip hop charts in 2016. &#34;Gotta Vibe,&#34; Divo&#39;s second single from the &#34;Transatlantic Soul&#34; album, was featured in the 2015 Pan Am Games Pan Am Path music compilation. In addition, “Perseverance,&#34; the first single from that album, was added to rotation on MTV Latin America. He also performed live at the first ever TDot Fest 2015 in Toronto alongside powerhouse artists like <a href="spotify:artist:5eYDJJfPXinVZq2mXleOSW" data-name="Fito Blanko">Fito Blanko</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1aVH8BgQhW8TT5hgNGwLc7" data-name="Karl Wolf">Karl Wolf</a>. Other achievements over the years include starring in a Much Vibe commercial as well as opening up for other Canadian talent such as Classified, <a href="spotify:artist:7dQsyUecbPiqTSDbVWJDaU" data-name="Ghetto Concept">Ghetto Concept</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6Ku2nSbcjRann6nTPimcFS" data-name="Choclair">Choclair</a>.  Over the course of his career, Divo has collaborated with iconic Canadian rappers like Classified, Young Stitch, D.O. Gibson, Dan-e-o, D-Sisive, DL Incognito, Eternia, Tara Chase, Bishop Brigante and Brassmunk .
