Born and raised in Augusta, GA, Calvin Da Coordinator came to Atlanta in 1997 and hit the ground running. He joined Oomp Camp in 2002, started DJing in 2003 and never looked back.
He was influential in breaking fellow labelmate DJ Unk’s 2006 smash single “Walk it Out,” which peaked at Number 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100, was nominated for a BET Viewer’s Choice Award and has over 20 million views on Youtube.
He is always ten steps ahead of the competition. His Collaboration with 2 Chainz on a first-ever mixtape DVD,entitled "Weed & Syrup" became a visual and audio experience unheard of in the mixtape realm resulting in 2 Chainz getting a solo & label deal with Def Jam.
Although he has a mix show that spins on eight radio stations and is a DJ at three Atlanta nightclubs (Club Opera, Sutra Lounge, and Las Perlas), he has extended his reach to Las Vegas performing annually at the Las Vegas First Friday festival and Nyche' One Music Fest, SXSW festival, and is the VIP DJ for the Bronner Brothers international hair convention. DJ Calvin still takes pride in breaking underground artists’ music most recently noted by his discovery of Russ. As the only DJ in atlanta that supported Russ and his group DIEMON, DJ Calvin was able to use his network to spread his music from Atlanta, Las Vegas, Paris and Germany, helping Russ receive platinum success on singles "What they Want" and "Losin Control".
