DJ Class is a Baltimore club DJ/producer who made his major-label debut in 2009 after a couple decades of underground activity. Born Daniel Woodis in Baltimore, MD, he initially established himself on the local club scene during the early '90s as both a DJ and producer. He soon became associated with the label Unruly Records, one of the pillars of the burgeoning Baltimore club scene of the 1990s. Among his most notable productions on Unruly Records is "Tear the Club Up," which was originally released in 1999 but was spun for years afterward as it became a staple of the Baltimore club scene. In 2009, DJ Class made his major-label debut on Universal Republic with the single "I'm the Ish." Initially released to little fanfare beyond its regional appeal, "I'm the Ish" became a nationwide club hit once a series of remixes began circulating, in particular those featuring Lil Jon and Kanye West. ~ Jason Birchmeier, Rovi
