Kenyan DJ and music producer Kelvin Peter Wanjohi has retained a noticeable presence since he hit the scene in 2013 as a writer for House Music-focused blog, "EDM Kenya".

Initially making his mark as a music journalist, DJ Fita transitioned to production in 2014, quickly gaining recognition for his captivating remixes of popular Kenyan pop songs. His groundbreaking approach earned him a "VJ of The Year" nomination at the Stylus DJ Awards in 2015. Building on this momentum, Fita collaborated with mahemba in 2016, forming the production duo Fitemba and releasing a captivating 6-track EP.

DJ Fita stayed busy throughout 2017, appearing in several remixes and various concerts. In 2018 he announced the release of his debut artist single; Break It All Apart, as well as a support tour with the same name with shows in Kenya & Rwanda.

After issuing more singles and remixes, the RnB-inspired EP, Name of Love, arrived in August 2020 featuring the talents of producer Hendrick Sam and vocalists Poly Joe and Nzau. This project showcased a new sonic direction, further solidifying his reputation as a versatile and innovative artist. DJ Fita was nominated for "Alternative DJ of The Year" at the Caffe Ngoma Awards 2023.

His latest work, Abedare EP, was released on Ewaso Records in 2025 and quickly gained support from international DJs and topping charts on platforms like Beatport. DJ Fita has remained a marquee name, contributing to the soundscapes of Nairobi and beyond.
