DJ K. Mean was born Karyn Alexandra Shanks in St. Louis, MO. She became a music fan at a young age. Her passion for music was harvested by learning to play several instruments. As she got older she began to collect music and became somewhat of a music supplier for her circle. She was originally dubbed MzXxXcLuEsIv because she was the go to person for the latest music and often made mix cds for her friends and family. That eventually blossomed into making mixtape and traveling the country for music. She is now stepping into the artist lane and creating her own album with many artists she’s built relationships with over the years. She will soon be releasing Chicken & Fries for the world.
