DJ Knetter Gek first became interested in music at a very young age, spinning 45 records on a battery powered turntable, or the grandparents' antique Hi-Fi cabinet. Since that day, it has been a long and ever-evolving musical voyage from Elvis to Hard Techno and all points between.
After years spent on the sidelines, absorbing the beats permeating from every corner of the globe, a keen appreciation was developed for all things deep, danceable & booming. Frustrated with the total lack of sounds that mattered being spun in the club-o-sphere, it was time to tackle the problem hands on.
Gek hosts Select Sessions, a regular series that showcases the crème de la crème of the grooviest, deepest & uncompromising in its approach dance music, as well as Pot+Luck Sessions. The latter are vibe filled, genre spanning “think mixes” (TM) from all walks of the musical spectrum, silly rules & confining genre boxes be damned.
