Nightlife aficionado and top disc jockey DJ Naim is determined to put the underrated city of Newark, New Jersey, on the map while bringing its nightlife experience to the next level. Coming from a place considered to be an underdog in some aspects, he was inspired to bring his beautiful city into the limelight.


DJ Naim first spun records at only ten years old. His love for the record-spinning experience led to daily practices, which helped him develop his skills. He quickly became his town’s go-to DJ, and soon, he was appearing for local parties in his area and family barbecue gatherings. He then moved toward guest appearances in Club Eclipse at only 14 years old, spinning records for teenage parties. This was how he started building his brand in the disc jockey arena.


His passion for the music industry is undeniable. His innate gift of incredible aural skills helps him connect with the crowd effortlessly no matter what their age. DJ Naim’s music choice has proven to be impressionable as well. With the right beats and the perfect manipulation of the rhythm and booming bass, his mixes always leave the crowd wanting more.


In 2006, he began his role as a resident DJ at a local nightclub. Eventually, he started appearing in all local nightclubs around New Jersey, opening and closing for other well-known DJs such as DJ Funk Flex, DJ Mister Cee, and DJ Bobby Trends. In 2010, Funkmaster Flex’s DJ crew, Big Dawg Pitbulls of Hot 97 FM (wqht), recruited DJ Naim to join them.
