Dj Nickie Cartel

DJ Nickie Cartel (aka. DJNC), is an international DJ, Event Organizer, Fashion Enthusiast, and Music Producer. He has worked with international superstars like P. Diddy, Drake, Chris Brown, Timbaland, and the South African DJ, Black Coffee.

He was born in London and after years of working and living in Europe and America, his discovery and love for Amapiano, a South African type of music, that is a hybrid of deep house, jazz and lounge music characterized by synths, airy pads and wide and percussive basslines, brought him back to the African continent. Ghana, specifically, is where DJ Nickie chose to set up shop and explore Amapiano alongside the rich signature highlife sound of the Ghanaian people. In doing so, he has chosen to embark on a journey. A journey called the WAAP Tour (i.e. West African Amapiano Tour) in which he showcases amapiano sound produced right from the heart of West Africa. Through collaborations with local artistes, he is spreading the sound to the rest of the world.

DJNC is doing this through a marriage of Amapiano and Highlife music. He hopes that this inspires people to see what the future holds for the Ghanaian people and the continent as a whole.
