DJ PIMPKIN (formerly known as ¥gothyen¥, The Vamp) is a record producer and rapper from Canton, Ohio. He is also the co-founder of VAPOR VAMP SLUMP (VVS) RECORDS and the hip-hop group S.A.P. GANG.
DJ PIMPKIN first started making music at age 15, posting vaporwave tracks and other beats, and used various aliases from 2016-2019. In July 2020, after freestyling with his cousin S.A.P. SAM, and long-time rapper RETICENT DOLLA; also linking back up with his old friend P-VO, the hip-hop group <a href="spotify:artist:3yg8jneBWf5mQogoBQCqe5" data-name="S.A.P. GANG">S.A.P. GANG</a> was born.
The sound of DJ PIMPKIN is best described as a blend of the vaporwave/vaportrap genre, the Memphis-inspired phonk era of the early 2010s, and elements of lo-fi/alternative/experimental hip-hop and R&B.
