DJ SHOXI (Shokhrukh Ortiqov) is a Tajik DJ, producer and remixer from Khujand.
He fell in love with music as a child. In 2007, he started self-teaching production, inspired by Dr. Dre, Scott Storch and Timbaland. During the R&B and Hip-Hop era, he loved fusing Eastern, Persian and Asian sounds with those beats.
By 2009, he became a resident DJ at Club “Afrodita” in Chkalovsk — one of the youngest in the region.
In 2012, he won 1st place at the Mega Rap Festival in Khujand. In 2015, he participated in the Black Star “Young Blood” casting in Moscow.
In 2016, his remix of Mohsen Chavoshi — Beraghsa became a CIS hit and was featured in a major Tajik glossy magazine. From 2016 to 2018 he was a resident at Royal Club and LOFT Club in Dushanbe. At Royal Club he actively helped organize major concerts for artists such as Jah Khalib, Inna, Eva Simons, Fly Project, MC DONI and others, and also performed as MC (including before Miyagi & Endshpil’s show at LOFT Club).
After the tragic death of his older brother in a car accident in 2019, he stepped away from music for several years before gradually returning.
In 2026, his AI live concert version of “Silver Night” exploded, gaining millions of plays.
Today DJ SHOXI works in Bass House, G-House, Afro House and Tribal. His music has millions of streams worldwide, with the biggest audience in Iran, Uzbekistan, USA, Germany, Russia and Tajikistan.
