Bongani Koketso Diphikwe, known to fans as DJ SOL K, is a young amapiano DJ and producer making his mark in South Africa’s music scene. Born and raised between Pampierstad and Hartswater in the Northern Cape, the 21-year-old talent began his music journey in 2018 and has been lighting up the decks ever since.
Inspired by amapiano legends JazziQ, Josiah De Disciple, and Vigro Deep, DJ SOL K quickly developed a signature style rooted in township rhythms, deep house influences, and soulful grooves. His debut EP, Seven7Teen, dropped in 2021, followed by 8-Teen and Kasi-Burb Lifestyle in 2022. In 2023, he teamed up with producer Foi for The S&F Project, showcasing his collaborative range and growing artistry.
His hit track Ice Tip featuring Jay Music gained massive traction, earning over a million streams within a year. DJ SOL K has also worked with genre-blending artists like DaJiggaSA & Mfana Mdu, Puff Nesca, and Killotronix. With a loyal fanbase and undeniable talent, DJ SOL K is fast becoming one of amapiano’s most promising voices.
