Stefano Ruffini, known as Steevo, is an Italian DJ and music producer who has been active since 1998. Starting out as a turntablist, over the years he has developed a distinctive sound that blends NuDisco, Funky House, Deep, and Soulful influences.
In recent years, Steevo has released several acclaimed tracks, including “Desire”, a soulful house hit featuring the unmistakable black voice of New York’s Frank H. Carter III. Another standout is his remix of “Dump Funk”, released on Spa in Disco, which was featured among the most played tracks on Beatport’s official Spring playlist on Spotify.
In 2023, he debuted his first song in Italian: a retro-futuristic Electro-Pop / Italo Disco cover of “Italove”, released on his own label D9S (Deltanove Studio Records) and performed by Sista Lu. The track gained strong support from both radio and dancefloors. In 2025, Steevo and Sista Lu collaborated again on a fresh reinterpretation of “Amore Disperato”, the iconic 80s hit by Nada. Reimagined in a pop-dance style, the cover is enriched with disco elements and a driving arpeggiated bass that boosts its energy.
