Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, DJ Tripp is a product of his cultural environment. The young artist was engulfed in music at a young age, surrounded by talented vocalists. His grandmother, Cheryl Harvey, was a notable Gospel singer. Sheryl sparked an interest in music for Trip, strengthening his desire to read music in the fourth grade. This effortless yet inviting instrument pushed Tripp to develop his skills as a snare percussionist for Westlake High School. He reminisces on the knowledge gained from the legendary band instructor Mr. Smith - an iconic figure within the South Fulton community. With Smith's teachings under his belt and a natural thirst for musical knowledge, Trip began performing as a D.J.
Trip practiced incessantly as a disc jockey, throwing parties with his High School friends. Tripp's High School parties soon solidified his reputation as a competitive D.J. Tripp furthered his musical experience by attending Full Sail University.
