Derrent “DJ Wizz” Durand is the youngest upcoming producer, promoter, graphic designer, and business owner to come out of Dominica. Influenced by artist like Bob Marley, Beres Hammond, Luciano, Tarrus Riley, Machel Montano and popular artists in the Lesser Antilles like WCK, Triple Kay, DJ Puffy, and DJ Flip Tha Boss, DJ Wizz combines their styles of music to produce major hits like UBER EVERYWHERE BOUYON REMIX FEATURING MOTTO!
Determined to succeed and excel since the age of 14, DJ Wizz’s creative resume´ now includes establishing his own music label, Wizz-Kid Recordz, and the musical group Wizard Gang Muzik. His talents have spread globally, playing sets in Dominica, Antigua, St.Thomas, the US & the UK. His drive and creative mixes got him recognition, being able to collaborate with other artists like Shelly from the group Signal Band, Reo, and Trilla G.
Alongside producing music, DJ Wizz launched the annual February event “Wizz Day” event, initially held in 2016, to showcase all local upcoming DJs and artists.
DJ Wizz’s designing skills include logos, T-shirts, flyers, album covers and other merchandise.
