D.love the Rapper

Deverio Love, better known as D. Love The Rapper, is not your ordinary rapper. D. Love grew up in South Central LA (one of L.A.’s toughest neighborhoods), just minutes away from the historic riots. Inspired by world-renowned artists like Sade, Tupac, Jay-Z, T.I. and Nipsey Hussle, he managed to find a deep passion for writing poetry. His love for rap music began to manifest in 2010. He worked hard to invest in software programs like Pro Tools so he could record himself in his living room. In 2014, D. Love the Rapper released the two-volume mixtape series entitled, “My Tales From the Hood,” through digital plat- forms like Spotify and Apple Music. D. Love was compelled to complete his first EP called “Dreams and Grief,” after losing his older brother to gun violence in 2012.


Unlike the typical artist, D. Love spent a few years learning the business side of the music industry. In 2017, he and his partner launched a publishing company, “Rap Hustle and Muscle” (RHM). As 2018 begins, D. Love The Rapper is already set to drop his first o cial EP’ along with “Rap Hustle and Muscle” Volume 1 mixtape to feature other RHM artists. Don’t get lost in preconceptions; he’s more than just a rapper... his lyrical hip hop flow and immaculate writing skills will take the industry by storm.
