Inspired by his childhood dreams about space exploration, Dmitry Baikov's solo works range from quiet piano pieces to guitar-driven electronic soundscapes, blending melodies and beats with field recordings and elements of musique concrète.
Working mostly with analog synthesizers, among his main influences Dmitry calls Jarre , Zodiac, Pink Floyd and, unexpectedly, Nine Inch Nails.
Currently based in Ryazan, Russia, since 2007 Dmitry is one of the core members of Moscow Laptop Orchestra “CybOrk”, formed by a group of students of Theremin Center for Electroacoustic Music (Moscow).
