Ali Abdul Hammid, known by his stage name “DO7” has been around the music scene for over a decade. Growing up in Accra, Newtown. DO7 has described himself as a student of the rap game and a lover of music as a whole. Citing rapper <a href="spotify:artist:7dGJo4pcD2V6oG8kP0tJRR" data-name="Eminem">Eminem</a> a major influence for deciding to pick up the pen and make music. Stating in an interview with LiveNews Gh that he heard the song Not Afraid at one of his aunties barracks, leading to the teenage DO7 to decide on venturing into music. Ghanaian gospel artist <a href="spotify:artist:7c8oidl1nGCmSuj93OORa2" data-name="CECILIA MARFO">CECILIA MARFO</a> & <a href="spotify:artist:78yZ1ji9uBJVuMp8pXKoBK" data-name="Nacee">Nacee</a> have also been mentioned by the rapper as influences that grabbed his attention due to their strong and powerful voices. Before streaming became his preferred medium for distributing his music, he’d share his songs around on WhatsApp, some of these songs included freestyles he’d do in his bedroom, refixes & remixes of popular songs from rap, pop to hip-life. Now a decade into his career, he’s managed to have 2 LP’s to his name The Coming & MURD3R 8Y NUM83RS, multiple singles & an EP IT'S ALL UP FROM HERE. MURD3R 8Y NUM83RS which happens to be his debut album was released on March 22nd 2024. The release has since accumulated circa 223,000 streams. June of that same year saw him dive into his Afrobeats lane with Gallardo assisted by <a href="spotify:artist:7vsaQwuPAG2PSWPVitnXrc" data-name="Dayonthetrack">Dayonthetrack</a>. The track debuted with overwhelming positive reviews from audiences as well being placed in numerous editorial playlists across Spotify accumulating over 42,000 streams in the process.
