dOHp (Dreams of Happy People) is led by Jona Davis & Sergio Beltrán-García, who became friends while making music in High school. Counter-culture and Rock history is in their DNA—classic, industrial, 2000s indie, post-punk, and even disco—, woven together with stories about Mexico City, its inhabitants and their lives under world currents.
Their first single, "People I Know", is dreamy prog-rock that meanders on the complex and contradictory natures of humans and their loneliness. dOHp’s second single, "wstrnfrnt!"—an explosive dance-punk track with frantic and moving disco strings—questions the limits of frontier expansions in a burning world. Both singles were produced by Eduardo Maldonado and Andrés Medellin in Mexico City.
