Hagen (aka Doktor God) is a 22 years old Berlin based music producer and rapper. His artist name comes from his ability to cut and seize the initial musical pieces he samples; and his ability to create in general, he says.

Early on he started playing the drums which sparked his affection for music - especially the rhythmic part of it. And with his first album „Adventures of Replay Squad“ he showcased his love to the craft of producing and the will to create something unique in todays HipHop landscape.

Nevertheless the songs on the album were mostly directly inspired by 808 heavy SoundCloud rap and other trending styles like UK Drill Rap, old school HipHop or trap infused pop tunes. as he realized that, it became his goal to create a sound with a recognizable lyrical delivery and a unique beat making approach.

The following album „Killing Dreams“ and foregoing singles like „lose-lose“ or „Losses“ showed a clearer vision of the sound he wanted to achieve. The inspirations for his Beats have switched from generic trap to upcoming experimental sounds like the work of the Alchemist, JPEGMAFIA or Funkvater Frank. The samples now frequently come from his soul- and classical vinyls and are chopped - but mostly left unedited in sound. spiked with characteristic live percussion and heavy, uncompromising 808 drums this combination makes a recognizable impression.

With „No Days Off“ and his upcoming project „C.S.M.S.“ he aims to further explore this sound and make it his own.
