For the past decade, Pascal Pinkert has passionately pursued musical unpredictability. From modular synthesizer workouts, to electro-fired post-punk, body wave and Westcoast techno explorations, Pinkert’s music surprises and thrills at every turn. This fearlessly open-minded approach is naturally also one of the standout features of his DJ-sets as well as for his live band performances.

Pinkert's live band performance alongside a bass-player and a drummer, using a range of non-conventional analogue instruments and vintage synthesizers, Dollkraut's live band shows combine a wall of sound and visuals with the same experimental, lo-fi approach that marks out Pinkert’s recorded output. Think members of Portishead, and Front242 jamming with Neu! and Linear Movement, and you’re close to the Dollkraut live band sound.

Dollkraut also earned a reputation for being a DJ, whose sets resulted in a string of memorable DJ appearances at iconic clubs and events as Dekmantel Festival (Boiler Room) in Amsterdam, Present Perfect Festival in St. Petersburg , Rock En Seine in Paris, the Institut fur Die Zukunft in Leipzig, Tel Aviv’s Breakfast Club and Dekmantel Selectors festival in Tisno, Croatia.

Eschewing narrow-mindedness while embracing experimental and DIY sounds, Pinkert is capable of sending dancefloors wild with records that few other DJs would dare to drop. While his focus remains firmly on records you can dance to, few would be able to second-guess his set-lists.
