Get ready to find yourself immersed in heartfelt indie tunes about coming-of-age experiences of laughter, desire and disaster. And, also and increasingly, about microhistories from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

More and more, DOLS is positioning itself in a distinctive way in the Dutch music scene. Two EPs, two LPs, and a double-EP have been released since 2016. The act played at Valkhof Festival (2019) and Bevrijdingsfestival Limburg (2022), landed support slots with renowned singer-songwriter and guitarist <a href="spotify:artist:4J8fnr8VLyVFQO5WgXQ0Bn" data-name="Anne Soldaat">Anne Soldaat</a> (2022) and legendary rock band <a href="spotify:artist:3ICflSq6ZgYAIrm2CTkfVP" data-name="The Animals">The Animals</a> (2024), and played shows at Poppodium Nieuwe Nor (2023) and Poppodium Volt (2023).

In 2020, Chris and his companions were up for a Best New Artist Award in the province of Gelderland. One year later, they became part of one of the talent programmes of Pop in Limburg. Their latest two records —Veurvaajers (2022) and Memory Palace (2025) — were featured in the national press (Heaven Magazine, NRC newspaper), got airplay on national radio (Pinguin) and cropped up in several podcasts.
