Orlando, Florida, transplant—by way of Paterson, New Jersey, Don Balla, first realized his gift a decade ago. “I got involved with music at the age of 12 when I used to make funny remixes with friends to current songs out at the time,” he says, “but, people always wanted more.”
His experience (living in both Jersey and Florida), has created a versatility in his sound; his music can loosely be described as a blend of “in-your-face” East Coast bars, with southern (trap) vibes and cadence. Having been introduced to a ranging variety of sounds—from Wu-Tang to Kirk Franklin—at a young age, and influences that include Jay-Z, Bob Marley, Kanye, and Lil’ Wayne, his catalog is a confident display of focused variety.
From partnering with Pro 192 studios, one of the hottest recording studios in the Orlando area—where he’s engineered sessions for multi-platinum artists—opening up for artists like ASAP Ferg and Nipsey Hussle, to generating thousands of views (and dedicated followers) online, Don Balla has put himself in a winning position.
This is just the beginning.
