Born in Landover, MD and raised in Germantown, MD, his love for music started at the age of 10. Growing up, he was inspired by his father, a prominent international gospel singer. In 2014, he recorded and released his first project, Cool Kid On The Block. In 2017, he followed up with his second project Shade Infinity which is said to be ahead of its time, featuring notable tracks “Better Do It” and “Young Reckless Youth”.
Since then, the Maryland MC has been on a tear releasing visuals for singles “Big Bank”, “One Too Many”, “GANG” and “In My Bag”.
This year, Don Cooly is slated to release his long anticipated project ‘Surrender Dorothy’. The project takes us through a personal journey, showing the ins and outs of his mind, heart, and soul. Don Cooly is here to prove that he may in fact be the next superstar out of the DMV.
