Don Crescendo, the Carolina-born and Chicago-based artist, multi-instrumentalist and producer fuses grooving electronic beats with atmospheric synths and rugged vocals to craft his brand of “space pop.” Pulling influences from r&b, new wave, and house music, Don released a mixtape trilogy in 2017--Rough, Raw, and Ready--introducing listeners to his sonic world.
In 2019, Don expanded his musical reach by releasing an experimental sound art beat tape, Displacement Dissonance, concluding his tenure as part of Flood’s Hall artist-in-residency program in Hyde Park, Chicago. He then continued his momentum releasing a series of remixes that featured on Boiler Room and Rinse FM and pivoting into DJ-ing with feature mixes for Chicago Research, RUMORS, and Seasonal Frequency.
Don is warming up the end of summer with his first solo single in five years, "Hot Right Now."
