Don Gz is a Nigerian artist whose vibrant “Afro Rhythms” sound blends Afrobeats, R&B, Soul, Amapiano, Afropop, and Hip-Hop. Influenced by legends such as Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Fela Kuti, and Wizkid, he developed a diverse musical identity early on despite being raised in an academically focused home. His debut mixtape, Life on a Weekend (2019), featured UK artist Camilla Dunhill and Nigerian singer-producer Juice Beiby.

A standout live performer, Don Gz has appeared at Reekado Banks Live 2022, Black Icons of Wales, the Cultural Fair in Bangor, and BNXN (Buju)’s show in Birmingham (2024). He made history in 2024 as the first African artist to perform at Wales’ Gwyl Adda Festival and has also performed at the Afro Plug Festival at Cardiff Vale Arena (1,500 capacity).

He has headlined Afro Rave Bangor three times, headlined Afro Rave Bournemouth, and hosted his own live show in London, while performing across cities including Liverpool, Manchester, and Chester. His rising impact earned him two nominations at the 2025 Welsh MOBO Awards, cementing his place as a fast-emerging force in the UK Afro-diasporic scene.
