Don Gz

Don Gz developed a diverse taste in music from an early age, despite being raised in an academically focused family. Influenced by icons like Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Wizkid, Lil Wayne, Don Moen, Brenda Fassie, Resonance, and Fela Kuti, he describes his style as "Afro rhythms," blending R&B, Soul, Afrobeats, Amapiano, Afropop, and Hip-Hop. He released his debut mixtape, Life on a Weekend, in 2019, featuring UK artist “Camilla Dunhill” and Nigerian multi talented singer/producer Juice Beiby, among others.

A remarkable performer with an interactive style, Don Gz has graced notable events such as Reekado Banks Live 2022, Black Icons of Wales, and the Cultural Fair in Bangor, Wales. He was also featured on Buju FKA Bnxn’s live show in Birmingham (2024) and made history as the first African artist to perform at the Gwyl Adda Festival in Wales on September 28, 2024. Additionally, he has headlined Afro Rave Bangor and Bournemouth and hosted a live show in London.

Recognized for his talents, Don Gz has earned awards such as 'Next Rated Artist' at the Ebonyi Achievers Award, 'Creative Person of the Year' from the Afro-Caribbean Society, and 'Significant Contributor' at the Black Icons of Wales. Born in Nigeria, he proudly identifies with the Igbo tribe. With tracks like Peng Ting and UNDECIDED, he brings energetic beats and relatable lyrics, solidifying his place in the Afrobeat scene.
