Don Ico is a versatile artist known for his work in the punk bands Pennies 4 Jane and Bazuka Joes. He started playing acoustic guitar at the age of 10, learning from "songhits" from the 1980s, the famous 1001 ultimate songbook and using his father's Gibson acoustic guitar. In high school, he was invited to audition for a band, showcasing his talent despite being unfamiliar with electric guitars. During college years, he formed Anima Creed, a thrash metal band, with his highschool buddies before fronting Pennies For Jane with pop-punk melodies.

With conflicts arising, Don formed Downtools, which later became Pennies 4 Jane, known for their original songs. Don later moved to Singapore, where he co-founded Bazuka Joes. Despite the band going on hiatus when co-founder guitarist moved to Australia, Don remained active, engaging in Philippine politics and supporting causes he believed in, including endorsing Leni Robredo during the 2016 and 2022 elections. His passion for music and advocacy shines through in his work.
