Don Powell was the founder and drummer of the legendary British rock band Slade.
A band of working-class heroes, who during the 1970s almost achieved a fame like The Beatles. Today remembered for a number of evergreen songs such as ”Merry Xmas Everybody”, ”Cum on Feel the Noise”, ”My Oh My” and ”Far Far Away”.
By some reviewers Don has been called the greatest rock drummer in the world. A few years ago he performed with Ringo Starr.
But Don needed something rooted more around his Danish home, and in his love of early rock. So when Henrik Littauer popped up at Don’s house, they decided to put this new band of senior Nordic rockstars together to play an updated version of rockabilly. Individually, throughout the years, they have appeared on more than 1000 records.
The Dreamers:
Helge Solberg, bass, from Bergen, Norway, has played and recorded with Nordic artists such as Rocazino, Jørn Hoel, Poul Krebs, Nana
and Backseat.
Henrik Littauer, keys, has been around since the early 1970s, producing, scoring, and playing with bands as Malurt. Lives in Tromsø, Norway.
Curly Erik in 2020 celebrated 50 years on the Danish music scene. A gifted blues/rockabilly singer with five solo albums behind him.
Knud Møller was voted Denmark's best rock guitarist in 2008 and has worked with, and produced, artists as Poul Krebs, Johnny Madsen, and Hans Thessink.
Claus Bøhling was Dennmark’s electric guitar king before moving to UK with Hurdy Gurdy in the 1960’s. He later joined Secret Oyster
