Doniel דניאל (Daniel Cavalier, born in 1979) is a Los Angeles native with Sephardic Egyptian roots.

In his first five singles, Doniel sings traditional Jewish Hebrew prayers and sets them to melodies influenced by rock, folk rock and soul music from the 60’s and 70’s.

Doniel believes that all forms of music are rooted in spirituality and are a unifying force for humanity. Music is an outpouring of the human soul and knows no international boundaries. Doniel has attempted to tap into the spiritual essence (nitzotz, "spark" in Hebrew) of the above-mentioned genres to create an original, organic and uplifting sound that crosses barriers.
