Donis is a Dutch rapper living in Southern Spain. His rap career started in 2018, when he got together with some friends and created an Alternative Hip Hop and Neo-Jazz group called "Crosses", with which he gave some concerts as rapper and producer. Through this experience, he found out his love for Rap and the underground urban culture, deeply influenced by Old School rappers and the suburban streets of Cartagena. Besides, Donis has always been interested in music production, starting out with Electronic music when he was 13, switching to Trap and later on to other Hip Hop genres. Although everything he produces goes under the artist name DJOY, he makes his own instrumentals and beats, giving as result a very personal and original style. Donis' lyrics mostly treat about social injustice, philosophy and stoner life experiences, with a hard-edged flow and simple rhymes.
