Overcoming a violent-troubling past and stigma from peers for recently dropping out of high school, DonSix reigns through with stride and confidence with his Debut Album “SIX,” giving anyone who listens a sense of security and confidence for themselves to carry on through life, to care about yourself first and never let anyone discourage or taint your motion with life.
Born in Baltimore City in 2003, DonSix upbringing was surrounded with violence, poverty and the will to survive, leading to him and his family to relocate to now dubbed “the most dangerous small city in America” Known as Macon, GA.
Growing up in unstable households and seeing his mother provide for the house only steamed his anger and will to compromise his situation to the fullest.
Once he got into high school, his focus began to change when he started to see how reality was and how everybody trying to alienate him with different tactics and with the rise of his brothers productions skills, He honed in on the opportunity to branch off from school to do music full time and increase his skills, therefore causing him to drop out of high school.
“SIX” Dives more into the darker side of the mind of black youths growing up in poverty and overcoming it in America and embracing all of its glory, With knocking 808s and piano progression such as tracks “On One” and “We Lit,” DonSix debut album will be the one for the records.
