Don’t is the electronic outfit from Rocket City Huntsville, Alabama featuring percussionist/mixer/producer Michael Foster. From early on in his career Michael had been creating and mixing music for a plethora of bands and musical projects until early 2016 when he decided to go solo. It was then he started to record and mix what would become Don’t’s first EP, T&E (mostly E), that dropped mid 2017.
Blending concepts that tow the line between serious and tongue in cheek, Don’t melds them seamlessly with its heavy and sometimes funky creative synths, voice modulations and unique lyrical perspective. From the ominously ambient beats and inventive percussion riffs to its dystopian and occasionally comical rhyme delivery, Don’t has carved out its own place to stand alongside its electronic and synth influences such as John Carpenter, Daft Punk and Gorillaz. ~ Coleman Pike
